Norway Canal + box EPG problem

Hi We have 2 x official Canal + boxes installed receiving the Norwegian channels now on Thor 3 and 5. For some reason every time we press the EPG button the box does a scan and it locks up for a minute or two whilst doing this. can anyone shed any light?

My System: Various digiboxes, broken Nokia 9800S, numerous analogue boxes. My lovely little lappy, HP Omnibook 6100

I separated your post from the thread you attached it - you may get a better response now.

My System: TiVo & Sky/Astra 2D on a 1.8m Andrews dish. Canal Digital on 80cm fixed dish. DM800HD and DM500 on both dishes.

Put the box on the Discovery Travel and Living channel for ten minutes or so, and you'll pick up the EPG stream. If your dish is not spot on, this is on one of the transponders that seems easiest to lose.
