With the news that Showtime have snatched the Prem rights away from ART its inevitable that we are going to get an awful lot of questions about dish sizes next year. Please post your experiences with reception in Western Europe & the UK only. Put as much detail as possible - its ok if you only get one polarity part of the day. Please NO QUESTIONS about dish sizes needed in any particular location or other questions about dish alignment. The thread is for positive INFO about 7W reception ONLY Please use this thread: What size dish do i need for nilesat 7'W for football for general questions.

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2 | I was able to get quite a few verticals from 7W in the summer. Even the footie on the horizontals albeit a horribly pixelated picture. That was on my Triax 1.1m dish here in Brighton, UK. I've just had a look to see what I can get on my motorised Triax TD88 (88cm) dish at one o'clock in the morning. I can get a watchable picture on three vertical transponders. The last has a little pixelation occasionally. 11823 V 11862 V 12015 V One snap from each TP attached.

Swedish Microwave 1.2 Motorised dish / Invacom C120 twin LNB driven by the AD3000. 3 other fixed dishes. ![]() Fighting the evil 3 Dragons under the Don Quixote banner,Sir Llew persevered where others failed | A quick check with a lash-up in the shed in Cambridge using my veteran ODM300 STB and a spare 15M length of CT100 on a Swedish Microwave 1.05M offset dish and Invacom C120 + SMW feedhorn brings in - 11747V 11785V 11823V 11862V 12015V All at 40 -50% quality, no pixellation in rain at 0730 -0800 PM 17/11/06, some pixellation during the day. I get QSPK lock on 11900V and 11938V, but the ODM300 doesn't store any of them. I need to check the alignment of the dish as I suspect it's not spot on ATM. Will try later with other STB's and the CT150 cable to house. Llew

My System: Skystar 2 1.1m Triax 0.2 Titanium lnb | 1.1m Triax, Kilkenny, Southern Ireland. Have managed to store channel info for 11823v and 11862v (after a good bit of effort), but have never been able to watch anything- signal is extremely weak. Most of the time I don't get any signal at all. Haven't looked during summer time.

My System: Smart lnb, 1m Gibby dish, Stab motor, TM5200D receiver, 57east to 61west. DTT from Sudbury. Virgin Media broadband. | Hi sana-sat I think that you really mean a 1.8m dish not a 1.8cm dish, in the UK Can you get away with a 1.8cm dish for Nilesat in the Yemen? Are dishes that small manufactured? PR
