My System: Famaval 3,1, IP9000HD plus other FTA and Linux boxes - Astra 1&2, Hotbird, Hispasat
IPBox 9000HD available soon.

The Dreambox 8000 may be mythical, but the new IPBox 9000HD seems to be a reality.

My local dealer is advertising it and taking orders. Knowing the owner, he wouldn't do it unless he was reasonably certain that he was going to get stock (he has never mentioned the DB8000).

The details (in Spanish) are at the bottom of this page

Thumbs up Looks good.

At least these manufacturers are taking the risk and launching HD receivers. The more the merrier.

My IPBox 9000 is on its way and should be with me sometime during the week.

Once I've had a chance to play with it, I'll report back.

Cool wow!

The Vantage has a really cool front panel. Menu & the OSD look nice too.

My Humax has a not so sensitve tuner.. I've compared it with my Nokia & with my Pace on certain channels on the North Beam(28.2ºE). While the Humax loses the image at around 15% signal quality, the Pace & the Nokia still show the image without any breakups. I used to have to watch channnel Four & Five on the Nokia or on the Pace. All with the same setup, just swiping the coaxial cable on the back.

older, humax, has better tuner, then the newer ones, the furgason hd,is exactly the same then the homecast with build in multicam reader, and alternative sofware for options on the premiere direct channels that the homecast not support!

Has anyone got the new Vantage HD receiver? Does it use EMU's like a dreambox?
It looks like an interesting one...
