Hi all

Just read that Channel 4 HD is up and running - can I get that on my Fortec HD receiver yet?

Only if it will take a Dragon / Trex cam containing a ftv card. The service is not fta.

Is it worth, cost wise, doing that? How much would I be looking at? Or should I just hang on if it becomes FTA?

I have a Sky card which I have just cancelled.

Thanks for swift reply by the way!

So does that mean...

If I get a Dragon CAM for my Fortec and a FTV Sky Card, I will get CHannel 4 HD?

Wait until we get a definite answer yes - the answers at the moment indicate no.

Tricky this one Shahid. I believe video clears with (unofficial) FW 11, but the latest beta FW update 15 gives just sound on mine.

Waiting for Humax's official update, maybe they know of the problem and will fix it.

Unfortunately not the full answer yet. Kyle wants to use an FTV card while Llew is using a basic subscription $ly card.

Yep, does work with a FTV card. Should've made that clear.

Oh, they know about it all right. I emailed them on 23 November. No reply of course. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

So in that case...

I just need to get a Dragon or T Rex, pop it in with FTV card and then tune channel in?

Almost there. You need to program the cam with a file (a recent predator for the Dragon) to allow it to use the card.

A CAS 2+ or 3 from Duolabs or Infinity Phoenix USB programmer will do the job OK.
