combined HD/non-HD reception

Hi all,

A newbie question here:

It isn't clear to me if an HD receiver can pick-up non-HD signals? Eg Freesat from Astra2D and standard digital from Astra1H,1L? Or cannot they do this and will I need two separate reveivers?

Many thanks for any advice!
