just found a intresting,hd receiver !
for me a unkown brand never heard before!

the text says,it has a intrgrated upscaler that boost the pal resulotion into hd format!
not long ago,around 3 years,this kind of upscalers was very expensice,i never have any,would be intresting to know,how about the quality,and the cpu processor behind,that boost up the signal in realtime,how strong this cpu must be?

For example, Kathrein UFS922 is being advertised as having hardware upscaler...

It uses STb7109 chips...

But if we check, we can see, that much more cheaper Clarketech Hd5000C+ uses same chip...

Of course, user fooled by marketing will strictly believe that kathrein is better, while in reality it's - not.

Hi there!
Kathrein do the same in the meantime then dream multimedia,made in germany was in the past,now the go all to china to let make there stbs,this is also the reason why all the clones coming from the same production factory,isnt it very strange..

there are upscalers for many 1000€ but does the have a real better quality then the intrgrated ones into the receiver,i dont know,i never tested any of them..!
