The best performing Linux HDTV receiver?

I was thinking of buying the DM8000 but the price is crazy and even if i can afford it i don't want to pay for overpriced products.

So i have a problem now choosing Linux receiver for HDTV, the most important factor for me is the tuner, it should be good with weak signals, the rest is not that important.

There is not much choice right now, i have to choose between:

IPBOX9000
AZBOX PREMIUM
QBOX

My System: DM 600-S, AB IPBox 9000HD, Moteck SG2100, Fracarro Penta 85 dish, + some puters

I've got the IPBox 9000. I havent had much time to play with it yet, but so far it seems like a good box. My only grumble about it would be that with the DGS (Default) software, it can be a little slow changing channels and going through menus.

The Enigma2 images seem to perform quickly enough, though they are not that stable overall. (yet)

I cant really comment on tuner sensitivity because I haven't really checked yet. I do pick up the MBC beam on 26E which is marginal reception here, but I could pick that up with the DM600 too.

Why not buy a Dreambox 800HD ?
If not the QboxHD is looking great, although not ready for a novice user.
I'm beta testing it.
Also the Coolstream looks good to me, although that a unit I don't have (yet :-) )

My System: Cuberevo Twin HD on a 85cm motorised Fracarro Penta dish. Superior Dark Motor. Inverto BLACK Ultra Single lnb (IDLP-SINL40-ULTRA-OPP)

It really depends on what is more important to you. For picture quality with upscaled SD and HD, I love my Cuberevo (ipbox9000). Not seen a sat receiver produce such good picture quality. The hardware is top notch but the software from DGS is a little lacking.

But if you are looking for good software support and plenty of third party support, then a dreambox might be your answer. As for quality, I can't say as I've not owned one.

I still think the Cuberevo probably wins with value for money vs quality, but I'm sure some would argue.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Happy with my Cuberevo 3000HD, use the NLB images, works well, excellent picture quality, also has a good built in video player.

The IPBOX can't handle 4:2:2 feeds right?
