usign a PC lcd panel for HDTV

Hi,

Can someone please perform a test for me with their HDMI HDTV receiver and a standard PC monitor?

All the widescreen monitors I have found are 16x10 aspect ratio. I.e. a 1920x1200 resolution rather than the HDTV 16x9 or 1920x1080 ratio.

Soon as shall be almost unable to resist buying a HDTV reciver. probably a DM8000. However I cannot afford to buy a 1080p HDTV yet so was thinking about a 24inch lcd flat panel PC monitor.

I was wondering how the display would work out, and also if their are any HDCP issues. I know that you can get LCD panels with DVI WITH HDCP so it should work. Anyone got one? Anyone getting a nice picture on the cheap?

Thanks,

Stvy
