My System: DM800, Kathrein UFS 910, DM8000 (testing) ChannelMaster 120 + Triax TD110, 4/5W-5E-9E-13E-19E + 23E-28Е-40E-53E 40E Ku and C-band :)

It was possible to receive Russian channels with high SR 44950 with Fergusson 8800 and Homecast 5101.
Now they have moved to different transponders - 44967V 20000 3/4 (very weak signal) and 44995V 20000 3/4 that makes it possible to receive them with about any MPEG4 capable receiver. Both are still DVB-S!
I guess with 1m50 dish it is possible to get both in the UK though good 1m20 may actually work too!

Best regards,

Alexander

...And thou were the truest friend to thy lover that ever bestrad horse..."

Signal is there alright, just needs another 5-10% or so to get a picture
This 'European beam' footprint is nothing like what's actually there.
Will have another look this evening.

Turok is in Austria, so start thinking at around 1.8m - although it could be bigger

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

Even while being in the official coverage area of that sat, I can receive only 10995V (and signal strength not so great) using 1m dish now. 2 years ago I was able to receive both of these mpeg4 TPs with better strength using 90cm dish.

I was dreaming to get the channels from this setellite as well.
I had 90x105cm dish that shows up to 49% quality on MPEG4 encoded channels.
Sometime I could even see images from this programs.
I replaced dish with slightly bigger dish 105x115cm and it still stays the same below 49% quality.
Is the next step to buy much bigger dish?
Does somebody here had any luck with this satellite?
I could see 3 or 4 progrmas from this satellite which are MPEG2 but as soon as it is MPEG4 thn the quality becomes low. Is that because of encoding or transponder are weak(in that case why different programs from different transponders work OK in MPEG4)?

No.

The channels sent in MPEG4 are from some premium package, not available FTA elsewhere, so power of them is reduced deliberately, to avoid copyright issues.

My System: Dreambox 8000 HD Dreambox 800 HD Clark Tech 5000 HD EchoLink 700FTA

I just saw this thread today (didn't notice at first that it was started way back in 2007) anyway I entered these two Freqs (10967 V & 10994 V) in my Dreambox with a 1.2 M Dish and I got these channels quite well albeit with a low signal level of 32/33 SNR. Now my location is in Malta... and I don't know if these Channels will stay ok during the whole day....because there were instances where Channels with a low Signal Level will fade in the evening or vice - versa. These two freqs carry channels like: TELENYANYA, RFL SPORTS,HOME, KULTURA, DOM KINO, DUBL-4, GROSNY, 5 KANAL, 1 MUZ,MIR, Etc Etc Etc.

I have got myself 1.8m meshed dish with 4 petals.
Managed to get those transponders but quite on the limit of stability.
Possibly further fine adjustment of the dish would help to get more stable picture.
Do not know what sort of offset dish we might need here in Uk to get it stable. I believe something bigger that 1.2m good quality dish wold be enough

My System: Motorized Gibertini OP150 ,Motorized Fibo MF90, 2X ASC signal 1.20 on stand by,ASC signal 1.80 ,Famaval 1.80 , 60cm eliptical raven ..hirschmann fibre glass 1.20m....and more gadgets

those channels could be open using an NP4 viaccess PCMCIA Module on a normal DVB-S receiver ,so its not an obligation to have a HD-BOX for those channels
