how do I get round this??

Hi guys..
Finally got my HDCI 2000 set up and am impressed with the quality of HD....I am however experiencing a problem...I have a motorised dish which feeds one cable into a digital splitter...one feed goes into the Humax and one goes into my S*Y box, when I want to watch the humax I have to switch the S*Y box off at the mains because I keep getting the error "no or bad signal"....Anybody got ideas about how to overcome this??
cheers

Cheers Analogue....
Problem is the splitter is inside the house and the cable runs down the lenght of my back garden and thru a tiny hole iatthe front of the house..the "Boss" would throw a wobbly if I drilled another hole in the wall and ran a second cable thru the house..

My System: 1.2M Channel Master, C120 Invacom 0.3 LNB & Feedhorn, with Humax HDCI2000. 68.5E - 61W

I have the exact same set-up as you, the way i deal with the problem is to go into the secret installer menu on the Sly box (thats services, 4,01 select,1) which brings you to the LNB menu, then turn off the LNB power, this will give you full signal to your Humax. Just do the same procedure again when you want to use your Sly box again.
