Humax HD - which box to get?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference between the Humax HDCI-2000 and the PR-HD 1000? I'm looking for a receiver for a Premiere sub that will also cover FTA HDs. Ideally I would upgrade my Dreambox but the release of the new HD model still seems a long way off.
Do any of the Humax models have a built in PVR like the Dreambox 7020.

Thanks,

Is there a better value receiver to consider? I see there are a few others mentioned.

Thanks,
The PR-HD 1000 is specifically for the German market. OK if all you need is Premiere. If I remember, I don't think it used to clear BBC HD, maybe later S/W updates changed this.

I think the manual is only available in German too.

Maybe better to get the HDCI2000

My System: Nothing at the moment until I find a remote for BigSat 6600CI. Pls see if you can help!

Personally I like Topfield 7700 but expensive. Cheaper one is Foretec Star Passion. Maplin is selling for £149. Please look at the link.

Up and down like the stock market that one. Fourth price change since it appeared if that price is correct. I bought mine for £199 on the cusp of it dropping down to £149 first time around

Good value though, if the software delivers blind search and 4:2:2 eventually.

PR-HD1000 is the same as the HD2000 except in addition it has a Nagra2 card slot embedded. Great for German Prem*er*. Works well also with Diablo & TRex cams. It does work with BBC HD. I have not seen a better HD picture than the 1000 produces. The 2000 manual covers everything the 1000 does except the N2 card slot which only comes into play if you use a N2 card.
