itv hd on humax foxsat ?

Can anyone out there tell me how to get itv hd on my humax foxsat pvr?

I can already get BBC HD channel on an automatic freesat scan.

When I manually scan for for ItV HD with transponder number 11246 H I get no quality of signal but a signal strength of 90%. Not sure what other values are, eg symbol rate, transmission, modulation and FEC - do these have to be changed?

You should be able to get it in normal Freesat mode, via one of the coloured buttons, WHEN it is transmitting a programme.

I don't think you will be able to get it by doing a normal scan as it is not a 'normal' channel.

You should be able to get it right now, as there's footie on, only 31 minutes gone, so at least for the next hour.

Also, I'm not sure that all ITV regions have ITV HD, if it doesn't come up on your region, trying changing to a different region.

Change your region (via postcode entry ?) to an English Region. STV are not party to the ITV HD setup so you wont get the red button prompt.

Edit - For manual scan you have the wrong frequency, it should be 11428 H 27500 2/3. Don't know if a Freesat box can scan it manually though.

Thanks for that.

Although I'm in south scotland I seem to be able to receive itv hd via red button.

Have never seen that before on ITV. They obviously dont broadcast very much.

What a difference in picture! Even the wife is watching it!

Aye the SD pictures for ITV are very poor. ITV HD is a part time channel showing only a few hours of programming a week. One thing they do well is the football in HD. Switching between normal ITV and ITV HD during the football the difference is very noticeable.
