Doesn't appear to be one for motorised, at least on sataid. Looks like you'll have to modify your own channel list in the meantime, using instructions posted here -

http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellit...ci-2000-a.html

or you could try cutting and pasting the ITV HD channel from my list into your list ( can't promise it'll work though).

What DiseqC setup have you got, fixed or motorised? uploading the wrong list into the box gives that message.

Did you unplug the box as soon as the download to box message clears off the screen? - that was only introduced as a joke I think - you have to wait until the BOX screen says standby or your start up channel name which shows it's finished loading the new channel list

My System: Humax HDCI-2000 19.2°E + 28.2°E

Hi there. First post!

I am going to get the Humax HDCI-200 soon and was wondering how you edit the channels. Can you do it on your PC first with some program (if so, where do you get it from) or can it just be done on the STB itself?

Also, is Channel 4 HD available through this box, or is it only on Sky FTV?

Thanks for your help!

Do yourself a favour m8 and buy a different box, the Humax is overrated and has too many limitations.

As far as I'm aware, the Humax HDCI-2000 is the ONLY box to be getting ITVHD perfectly both sound and vision, some other boxes are having problems resolving the issues with ITVHD, also the upscaling capabilities are excellent on this receiver.

Works very well with the T-Rex 4.6 cam, the Humax channel editor could be better, but does the job OK.

If you can get one at around £100.00 grab it, you won't have any regrets.

The downloads are at _http://www.humaxdigital.com/hcsa/Download/Products/HDCI-2000.asp for the formula channel editor and the firmware update if you don't use hotbird OTA update. I find the box excellent and flexible enough for my needs I use a Diablo and a Trex 4.6 depending on which emulation I'm after but one is usually enough. Some prefer the boxes with built in emulators but I'd rather replace a cam than a box! Plenty of fully completed channel lists available as well as support on forums. If you want to look at the channel list mine is at http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellit...ci-2000-a.html with ITV HD working and you can experiment based on the same sats you use assuming it's not motorised. Remember though you will need a null modem lead for connection with a pc (cheap!)

Plenty of other boxes are now working with ITV HD, the technomate and the topfield, both better boxes than the Humax, just two that come to mind.
T-Rex Cam's work with 99% of boxes so why that's a reason to buy a HDCI-2000 I don't know, plus picture quality via HDMI is crap on the Humax (too dark, a known problem) and stunning on the other boxes.
You will have regrets if you buy this box!

I'm sorry but I don't agree that the picture quality is crap via hdmi, although there have have been plenty of posts stating this. I have a 42" Panasonic plasma and picture quality through hdmi has been stunning viewing BBC HD, Discovery HD, Prem**** HD, Luxe TV HD and the HD Astra feeds.

My System: 1,20m motorised + fixed dish Humax HDCI 2000 Satellite since 1991

@Denis1501:

I cannot confirm that at all. I'm using the HDCI since World Cup 2006 and can say despite some minor issues (EPG info cut off, poor outdated satellite/transponder list, no combination of fixed and motorized) this reciever was worth every cent.

The Picture via HDMI is flawless an no way to dark. You just have to use a decent TV (I am using a PTAE900 beamer).

The reciever has a VERY good user interface. Could use more favourite lists though...

The unit is working fine for two years now. I would still buy it for a setup with only DiseqC 1.0
Actually my father is demanding I buy one for him. Alternatives are Vantage 7100 or 8000 at 400 / 550 €. The Humax is 200€.

Only thing that upsets me is that Humax doesn't fix the bugs. It would be so easy.

I forgot to mention that I have had the humax for over a year and have had no problems, sure there may be a few quirks with it especially with the menus but overall I'm very pleased with it and it's performance. I think saying you're wasting your money on this receiver is a bit OTT. My advice is go and have a play with one and make your own mind up.

Those HD channels are clearing for me ATM using my fixed dish list, which is based on Laural's earlier 03 May one.

Don't see why the later one shouldn't be OK though.

(I'm using a Diablo cam with the latest underworld file to open the channels BTW)

Ok that's your opinion, I guess your setup might not be up to scratch, I don't know what TV you are using at the moment, but some LCD TV users have complained of dark pictures, but I have only experience that once, and that turned out to be a software issue.

I use a Pioneer plasma and the HD images are exceptional, horses for courses I guess

Oh, and BTW, I see from your list of equipment that you use a Humax HDCI-2000

Remember these channels are still under test. Tonight, I can receive most of the six HD channels, but rarely all at any one time, e.g clicking through them all sequentially. A signal is present though on all channels.

For instance, staying on Supersport HD1 I had football, then after a blank screen for a minute or two, a DigitAlb promotional video.

Supersport HD2, just a logo, then a blank screen.

DigitAlb HD1, 2 and 3 OK, but 4 nothing at the present time, although I seem to remember getting the Supersport HD2 logo there at one time (!)

Looks interesting, might be tempted to exchange my 'Dreambox' and my 'Humax' for one of these

If you put your STB into stand-by and turn it back on, sometimes channels dissappear and you have to retune. This solves that problem.
I have experianced this with my Humax.
