Hi

I believe that, if you press the "options" button, you'll have the chance of selecting audio and subtitles (if available).

Thanks. Only German audio available AFAIK on those channels with this receiver, unlike my other boxes.

I'm a stranger to Hummies: I expect there will be a channel editor available like Setedit for this model in the near future. I'll search around to see if there is an editor now that might fit the bill.

Question A to Z by satellite

That would be a good ideia. I'm used to my Nokia sorting the list from A-Z by satellite & by provider. The sat list does not have that option. Only on the TV list.(or am I doing something wrong?).

HDCI Humax 2000 - Premier Direct Film Channels

Dear Rato and other users.

Have you found the Premier (pay per view) Direck channels with the box.

I have done a Channel Search using 11.720 H 27500 3/4
But no joy.

Any advice

Shahid
PS all the others are there.

My System: Newbie to Satellite Sky+ Humax DCI 2000
Wink Other Channels

Guys,

I bouight the Humax purely for BBC HD World cup and Wimbledon coss I could not get the Sky HD box in time.
Now it appears that this box could open up a whole new world of viewing. I have done a bit of reading on CAM's but I am not sure what to buy to get the best out of the Humax (I have standard sky dish pointing at Astra2 with a quad LNB - 2 feeding the Sky+ box in one room the other 2 in another room 1 each for Sky standard and Humax).
Is there a cheap and cheerful way to get more out of the Humax without changing the dish?
Can I just add keys to open up other channels?

I know these questions may the same old Newbie questions, so please point me to a FAQ if one exists.

Appreciate any info you can offer

Not on that satellite. You'll need to add another dish, or at least swap your current dish and add an LNB. Most of the other stuff you're talking about is on Astra1 at 19.2E. Well worth having now you've come this far.

Can't. It's out of my reception area(_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/premiere.html) the FH+B & FH-B beams(_http://www.ses-astra.com/corpSite/site_en/ASTRAFleet/astra1f/). Can get the Premi+re HD channels, on the H beam, and a little bit (w/ breakups of course) of the FV+B beam.

The Premi*re HD films are pretty good! The EPG goes up to 3 days. I can see what's on up to Sunday. The Discovery HD is great. Just too many re-runs of American Chopper. The Sports HD is what we are going to expect from the World Cup: lots of details we've never seen before!

The only downside is the HD films do not carry english soundtrack via the OPT button.

Is the audio track even there?

Discovery HD will do me nicely if its subtitled.

If you folks have managed to drag yourselves away from all those great HD channels, have any of you tried any of the other satellites in the STB's database?

I tried a scan of Amos 4W today, and it didn't want to know

No signal / quality level, therefore no channels found. Strange, because on my Triple Dragon I can find 90+ TV channels using the same setup (4 -port Diseqc switch, Port 'A' for my main dish. Astra 28E is on the same port, no problems there).

I would expect to see at least 60/60% strength/quality, as with my TD.The tuner would have to be dead to get zero readings!

Which leads me to the conclusion that there must be a software issue here that is preventing the Humax from recognising this satellite ??

Would appreciate if anyone could confirm if they have any problem with Amos ( or any other satellite with a weak footprint in your area).

On 28.2šE, I can get my "weak" signal from channel Five w/ no problem. The others are all strong signals. The other HD channels(here we go HD again) on 19.2šE FV+B beam(fringe area for me), I do get some breakups at nightfall, but o.k. during the day. I can try fiddling w/ my Technisat 33 dish & try another sat w/ a weak signal I give some feedback Llew. Good viewpiont on trying other birds.

OK, the problem was, the majority of the TP's searched by the box are Middle Eastern frequencies, some of those for Europe having incorrect SR's.

Inputting a receivable frequency e.g. 10.721H solves this, although one or two other TP's correctly assigned in the database still can't be found. Work in progress here, will add those in Lyngsat to the box.

English Audio select - How to rectify

English Audio select - How to rectify

Dear Humax HDCI2000 owners.

U might experience when you are watching the film channels on tequila or premier which carry English soundtrack that, when you press the (opt) button and select English or Original. That the audio stream in english does not come and all ...! all you may hear is silence Not to worry . . What you need to do is select the english or original sound track . Press OK., Go to another FTA Channel and Press the film channel you were watching....and hey PRESTO ! You will notice the English audio stream coming. I think this is software fault and Humax will sort it out.

Maybe its happening only on a few boxes.

Shahid. PS Just got the D+ Opened. Tequila great channels and 3 Texuila XXX channels too. and the Play Boy Channel open too. so far the HUMAXHDCI 2000 & Dragon 4.1 make a lovly pair !

so far its only been 6 days of owning and all I can say is that.
a) The User Interface is nice
b) Nice big text screen and channel /favourites screen.
3) very fastwhen using to update Predator Keys on it. No need to keep pressing save key list.
4) The STB box clock never goes mins fast or slow like my previos STB's
The machine is getting better and better since using it more.

You have to convert first the hexadecimal key do decimal(example: to enter D7, input 215). It will show on top then D7 so you can confirm the sequence.
You can easily find a hex key converter or a hexadecimal chart by doing a search or using a cientific calculator.

2) The user interface is easy & nice.

3) The clock is in sync(w/ the Nokia 9800s side by side!)

4) liking it each time more I turn it on!
