karma u r proceeding to the right direction. and i dont understand why were u confused . just give the filename as zenega and save. power on stb and downloading starts. when it' s 100% finished, its over. now rename the saved file to zenega.bin. Done . u can call me if u wish to. where do u live ?

Yep ... Done that

.... and the result is same... I have old EuroBox 9700 Gold... and the results are same....

Even the Older KAON brand DISH TV recevers are good...

I have also checked with other friends recievers (3 of them at that)... and they all show less % signal strength and quality...

been there... done that

... and finally had to find a better gain LNB....

i checked many things at TELE-satellite mag..... and ultimately was able to get a better LNB....

The bad Quality of signals is not always due to the LNB and Cable, but mostly due to the poor quality of Zenga recevers that are supplied with the Dish TV.

If you check the signal strength of a particular frequency with any other reciver.... i have tested in Star Track (World in Box) ... results very very much....
Star Track shows 85%.... Zenga shows 45%... rest is lost some where INSIDE the recever.

So let me ask you how to go abt this

- If I get the zenega CD1004S receiver from back home

a. would it help?
b. I would just have to use my smart card on this reciever- correct
c. How sure are the ppl on this forum, that this particular model has better reception
quality??
d. is there any other smart card recievers that work on the dish network other that the
zenega brand. If so , which models?

- on the zenega Cd1004iS receiver , if I get the Philips LNB like you had suggested
earlier, would there be a significant improvement in quality of the reception??

For your info I have a 6 ft NSS dish properly aligned, no splitters attached. Also could you give me the model no of the philips LNB so that I could check in the UAE market and also rough estimate of the price...

Hi All,
I am also facing the same problem with ZENEGA 1004iS receiver which I got frm india and after installing a 6 Ft dish and changing the LMB, the signal quality is still weak and I can receive only few channels some maybe paid, though I have taken a full package in India, numerous phone calls hv gone waste.The message that you settop box is not connected to dish appears, on ok for channel search it gives message that some transponders are not loaded.In STB info it gives message of quality of signal at 62 and 55 resp.but i cant get zee/max channels.Is it a problem of LMB?the cable guy has no clues..can somebody help, before I miss my cricket matches...PLEASE

A classic sign of insufficient signal. Better alignment or more probably a bigger dish needed.

You *may* get away with just buying a better lnb but I doubt it.

Please go through this thread from begining (Indian Dth In Middle East) and dont waste yor time and money on 1004is. as mentioned earlier, this model is not working in Midle East, I can tell for sure that this will not work in Bahrain(Unable to find the reason,dspite extensive reserch). Try to get any older model of Zenega or any model of Kaon. you can PM me for further discusion or u can call me on phone number removed - admin

I dont see anything wrong with ur LNB, as long as it is a Quad LNB (_http://www.satlex.us/en/lnb_types-type_uni_quad_lnb.html) and not Quatro LNB(
_http://www.satlex.us/en/lnb_types-type_uni_quattro_lnb.html . some signal fluctuation is always thier due to diff. factors(air density at diff times,if location surounded by high rise buildings an obscuring the line of veiw from ur dish to sat, improper alignment of dish and LNB, wind speed VS strength of hardware/brackets/holding the dish etc.) but this fluctuation is noticable only on weak signal Sat's(being out of sat footprint). u can try with single LNB (I M using Lucky Star 0.3db, available for BD1.500 only) and see if there is any improvement.also to rais the height of dish(increase the clearance between dish and ground/base, done the trick for me)
so thats all i can suggest for this time , best of luck with R&D :-).BTW I dont have much hands on experience with kaon , so cant say anything on kaon SW issue.

Thank you for your opinion.I tried Lucky star lnb before going for premiumx lnb.I feel this is much better than Lucky star lnb.I would like to know which receiver you are using and how is the reception especially 12647/H/27500 and 12595/V/40700.

I too am a BAH resident, and luckily I have found the SOLUTION of how u can get all channels on 1004iS in Bahrain, Its very simple, i just saw it work today, Its not the dish, actually You need to support the 1004iS with another set top box in tandam which is available for 20 BD...I will tell you all complete details in my next thread tommorow

I,m in saudi arabia ('Abha' Southern Region), since long time iam not able to install
"dishtv of india" which is on (NSS 6 95°E), i used KU Band .3 db DANSAT LNB,2.4 Meter Dish,
2 STB (Dishtv STB,HUMAX STB) but no use always i get status 0% signal strength, where as
ASIASAT 3S (105.5°E) (SAHARA CHANNEL) workS fine with same dish, humax stb and C band LNB,,,

I changed even lnb and tried but no use, i wonder (Conax,Mediaguard) Video Encryption needs
special dish or what....

Please,, Please help me out because i lost till date three month, i have only three months
more on my smart card,,

Normaly it s happen when u r wire is not long like in villas where the dish in on the roof and receiver is down. and problem is only in Zenega CD 1004IS other dish tv receiver is ok. Just do one thing put one two way spilliter. put dish wire into input of spillitr and use any one output to connect receiver. This method is very strange but it will work 100%. This i m doing in sharjah UAE. Please do this and give me u r answer.

In middle east like uae qatar and behrain with Zenega CD 1004IS we r not getting all channels but if we put other receiver like kaon every thing is perfect with same dish and LNB this problem only with Zenega CD 1004IS so i found this salution and personaly used this in 10 to 15 places. i hope u will undersatnd our problem.

Thanx for ur idea.One of my friend brought Zenaga cd 1004 IS recently.i am using kaon and i am getting reasonably good signals except in two frequencies which i mentioned in my ealier posts in this thread.when i tried my friends zenega stb with my dish,it is receiving only few star channels .He is getting his own dish installed today.I will pass on your advise to him
