Dear Sharza,
1.8 Meter offset dish and Philips/LuckyStar 3db LNB's are working fine in Bah.As long as 1004is is concerned, I am waiting some input from Rahul, he is the only person, I came across, for whom this reciever is working. so only he is the person who can shed some light on this.
Dear Ghani Pak,
I have tried the option suggested by you but this is not working for me.
Bye
asdf,
All these channels are working for me normally, except when strong wind or rainy season exists.

Dear Marshal,

I used KU Band 0.3 db DANSAT LNB,with 2.4 Meter Dish, and
Dishtv STB ( ZENEGA CD 1004 iS ), but no use always i get status 0% signal strength, where as ASIASAT 3S (105.5°E) (SAHARA CHANNEL) Works fine with same dish, humax stb and C band LNB i used for ASIASAT 3s,,,

but you said 3db lnb (is it 3db, or 0.3db), are you using dishtv in KSA, Because except Dammam all other area is too much far from the beams and i am in Abha Border of yemen....

Zenega

Hi friends, i m sorry that i didnt reply earlier as I was too busy....anyways I have installed zenega 1004iS here at home in Bah and I am getting all the channels like dishTv interactive, Zee, Sony, Max and all. It took the dish guy sometime to fix it up, and the secret is that he used another settop box SATCOM make and he connected the dish cable to it and than a loop from it to the dishTV settop box, and Dish TV settop to power, so the new settop box isnt powered, and its just a normal LNB used and I m getting very good reception, only problem is during mornings when the signal is weak...dont know why, but it becomes normal by 10 AM. The cable guy says that he does some tweaking in the second settop box he installed, but he isnt letting the secret out...so maybe with Marshall, we can chk out the secret.....
But one thing is for sure.........u can get Zenega 1004iS work here in middle east. i m seeing it here, so thats the proof....

My System: 2 dishes one for hotbird, nilesat & arabsat and one for DISHTV

i am from Kuwait Had DishTV installed recently. Have a 6 foot dish and .2db GoldStar(Lemone) LNB installed. I was able to view some of the channels and most of them could not be viewed. The Technician informed me that the chip had to be upgraded and after updation I have been able to watch almost all channels. So if ur in Kuwait suggest you to go to Hawally and update the chip. They charge KD 5

Smile ZENEGA1004iS

Dear Amritlad,
The connections for Zenega1004iS goes like this Cable wire goes to IS in of another Digital Satellite receiver STARSAT (its not SATCOM which I wrote earlier by mistake) MODEL NO. SR-X4000D (made in Korea) and from this receiver's IS out same type of cable goes to Zenega1004iS (in teminal) and than on to TV. If you can buy this receiver you can try this method. But donot power the STARSAT model...Just put Zenega on power. Its a much cheaper option than splitter method. The dish is a 6 ft one on top. Check this out and let me know too.
Thanks.

Dear Rahul
The spilliter price is 5 Dhs and the starsat 4200 is nearly 100 dhs so which is cheaper receiver or spilliter. Just go to market and check it then tell which is cheap.
Thanks and best regards.

Dear ghani_pak,
I dont know who has quoted you that price, what I know is that splitter which is available at DXB and the settop box etc you have to buy costs more than 120 Dinars. Where as this settop box is easily available in market, for about 20 BD

Dear Rahul,
Spilliter is just a devider which is used for devide one wire into two receiver and its commonly use for deviding arabsat c-band, and normaly we r saying two way spilliter or four way spilliter and its more cheap than diseq switch.
120 dn means more than 1200 dhs does it make sence that a normal devider this much cost. Please kindly check in any dish shop near by u.
I hope u will understand what is spilliter or devider.
Thanks and best regards.

Cool Simple Signal Amplifier

Hi guys,
I figured to find a solution for the two frequencies in Zenega,

1) Get a splitter open it from the back side remove all connection from it.
2) get a insulated copper wire of medium guage, ( telephone or Network cable wire ok)
3) make ten turns on a pencil or a reynold ball point pen
4) solder the two ends to the spliter outputs (leave the input free)
5) make a small gap after the fifth winding. connect one end to lnb and other to the receiver
6) now you got to STB info and select red button for setup,
7) select hometransponder and adjust the winding gap till you get a quality of above 60%.

Its works in abudhabi UAE, fully tested, you need some patience in adjusting, and use a good LNB, noting like global, universal etc, use philips if you get it.

hey Odiyan,

I am also from abu dhabi , I'm really intersted to make my Dish TV to work properly and recieve all the said channels....could you try calling me on my mob 050 5460730 and we can discuss over the phone and clear up all doubts. if you don't mind that is...

When you say splitter , do you mean the dividers you get for 10 dhs on electra street...cos thats where I bought my splitter from. Or is it something else all together?

PLease call me and we can discuss better over the phone.

Thanks

Do you have the step by step pictures along with the instructions, it would really help a great deal.
