My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

I put one up today, it was a sharply pitched roof, so required around 5 foot of mast above the gutter, but pulled in all of the satellites, due South was pretty close to straight towards the front of the house.

You can work it out using measurements of the roof.

My System: humax 5400z, 1m dish, diseq motor

This may help you and others.
You can find out which way the dish will need to point and work out if things are in the way.
you can find you house by post code and address the position the satellite icon exactly on the side of the house that you want it on.
You can the change what sat you are checking from the drop down box.
If you click on the show obstacle line checker it gives a little help in seeing if you can clear obstacles.
