My System: technomate windows xp
Manchester - Installer needed

hi all , newbie to this , and dont want to risk setting up a dish etc
i am looking at buying a technomate - which do you think is the best 1?

i am looking for a 80- 90cm dish - maybe motor or with a monoblock lnb

i have been priced for a 80 cm bog standerd dish , pointed at a diff sat installed

160.00 is this price fair - or is it a bit high

see i am on a very tight budget -
would fit the dish myself , but scared of heights lol

any advice please

My System: 75e-75w C & KU, 36v h-h /36v & diseqc actuators / diseqc -USALS motors / Anlg to HD Channel Masters C120s dishes, stb's inc echo3000, lnbs, meters, custom polar mounts & elevation/incline actuator conversions...

What exactly is included in that ...

.. install only...

...install & supply dish & cable ... what dish (brand).. what lnb... bracket/s... cable length.. height.. access problems... which satellite do you want (or beam)..

example..

a basic 80+ lnb x 12m cable easy access to Hotbird installed or south wall

or

same 80 over a roof with long pole and much stronger brackets

or

access to a weaker satellite etc..

My System: technomate windows xp

to be honest i am not too sure, i have a technomate 1500 c+ and at the moment i am running this off my sky minidish , which i am picking up the freeview channels on this system
My best bet is a moterised system, with a 90cm dish
i need someone to supply the dish , cable etc....i am clueless to what make of dish etc..
My sky mini dish is set up on my back wall ...
i have been priced round about 375.00, with all supplied, but nobodys come around to view...

i have just got me head around the reciver part , and just want to get a signal from the many other sats

what type of dish do you recommend,,, if it was a option just a moterised dish on my south wall

please could you give me some advice , is 375.00 steep for a installtion
i would buy the goods myself , but if i buy the Wrong dish ,, lnb etc

thanks

It's certainly within the ball park... depends on all the variables listed above and a proper site survey.

I'd say go for a 95 or 1m if there are no major reasons not to ... mainly because it gets you on 26e there & the popular fta MBC channels with some decent rain fade in Manchester if it's done well (which is a good acid test for the whole arc there at that dish size).

Where are you (roughly) we actually do parts of Manchester.
