Anyone in N. Ireland wanna earn themselves a handy £100.00

Hi Guys..

ok.. dont quiet know where to start..

I have my dish up.. (WaveFrontier T90 with 7 lnb`s) and all is good there. I have a DM500s in the living room, and i am having real problems with setting the DM500 to realize that i am working with a fixed dish and not a disecq motor..

I have a friend who has been trying to help me but no joy over the phone... and also need some help opening a port on my router ( BT home hub 2.0 )... Once we get these 2 problems fixed i will be up and running...

If anyone can help me.. i would greatly appreicate it.. and the first man to come to my house and get my system going.. will leave with £100.00 in his pocket.. Even if he can do it in 5 minutes..

Please help.. as i am ready to cut my throat with this,, lol

Steve, cut your losses. Put up the motor and the port forwarding should be straight forward to sort.

As for the other bit - what sort of lnb switch are you using?

Have a look at this thread:

Up to 8 lnb's on your dreambox - in pictures

which I did when I set my Irte 8 way lnb up.

The procedure should be similar for you, although check any documenation that came with it as things may be slightly different

Hi..

thank for the info...

Update.. I now have the first 4 sats installed and 3000 service found.. just like the way Analoguesat said.. but i cant for the life of me get the last 3 installed...

I have done everything the same as what you have said in your above posts.. and when i try to add them it does not find any sats.. Now.. i know the dish is aligned correctly.. thats for sure.. Its just when i am trying to add the last 3 sats.. I always get the message "please wait until the motor turns to 7d east..

Thats the problem.. i dont have a motor..

The first 4 should be the easy ones to set up - basically they are vanilla 4 way disecq settings.

I had a hell of a game getting mine to work correctly as I had to get the switching setup just right - dont get disheartened as you will get it to work eventually.

I had the "wait for motor" message many many times as well. I eventually forced it to do what I wanted it to do by using disecq 1.1 rather than 1.2.

Its a bit messy and does glitch occasionally but it does workmost of the time........

A lot of receivers detect the signal to stop displaying the motor moving message based on the first transponder in the list. This doesn't always work if there is no signal for that frequency. Can you change or program the first transponder entry to one that you know has signal...
