My System: TM-1000D, 60 cm dish |
Hi Mrs has given me permission (Not under the thumb honest ) to put up a satellite dish to get DigiTV packages (Thor 3/5 & Intelsat 10-02 at 0.8°W) as we have friends that can provide the card and Cam (We are located in lower sydenham).I have no equipment other then a old Technomate 1000 !! so will need everything (Dish, Set top box with CI), LNB cable, a ladder will be needed (3rd floor flat), depending on the cost I may want to go motorised ! Any takers ?

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

| Of course the cost now goes up somewhat, with the extra hardware, converters and the time spent installing it. Additionally the method of fixing to the wall becomes far more critical to prevent UK weather from spoiling your viewing. | |||

Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT | Nothing really wrong with a properly Diseqc motorised setup for the price, but only really any good for dishes up to approx 1m, and even then that may be pushing it in some cases. I can pretty much get the 'receivable on a 1m dish' transponders 24/7, except when there's rain. The same applies to the Nilesat verticals in my area.
