Humax SexView problem

Hello,

I have a Humax 5400z with irdeto embedded. Recently the channels I pay a subscription for have stopped working.

The on screen message is 'Service is not running or scrambled'.
My subs. should run till april so I think thats OK and in the past the on screen message would read 'Card has no right for this service' when subs. ran out.
When I look at the smart card information it is still there. Yet the common interface says that CI module is not installed in both slots.

Is there a test I can do to see if the irdeto cam is still working.

Any info. would be appreciated.

If you have Irdeto embedded, then you would not need a CAM inserted, thus both slots are empty.

have you tried contacting your card supplier or provider?

One of the providers staying on hotbird by the looks of it, so the channels should still be there.

I don't believe the Humax has the SexView problem

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

Thanks for the suggestions.

Will contact supplier again, however up to now they have been fairly unhelpful.
They seem to be keen to sell but usually when asked about problems are far less interested.....

The card was working fine up to about a month ago. Then suddenly this message appeared and I've no idea why it stopped working as it appears the channel is still transmitting.

Does anyone know if any of the channel settings etc. have changed?

Try deleting all the channels in the channels list and then do a manual scan of the transponder. This should take care of any changes to the settings, if there are any.
Also switch off the receiver, disconnect from power for 30 minutes, reconnect with card inserted and see what happens.

HB13Dish thanks and Robbo for your replies.

Have tried what you suggested and no change unfortunately.

Contacted the sexview helppage and not received anything from them.

Anyone else got any suggestions?
