Irdeto 2, Multichoice SA and card sharing

Hi guys,

First post so please be gentle with me - just learning at present!

I'm from the UK, but located down in Malaysia currently, where I run a couple of businesses and also have my home. From what I gather, its quite possible to pick up South African satellite TV over here with a large enough dish?

What I'm looking for a little advice on is how I go about it - I've been researching a bit, and as I understand it I could somehow get a subscription and card from South Africa, then setup a compatible receiver and dish which would hopefully allow me to view satellite TV from Africa.

Being that it seems difficult enough getting one subscription though, I'm struggling to understand how I can get my businesses the same package? I've been reading a little about card sharing and dreamboxes, and this seems like it might work, but i cant be 100% sure.

If anyone can advise me as to possible solutions it would be really appreciated!!

Thanks in advance, kurgy.

My System: Whatever it takes to test stuff

Hi Shadow,

Cloning is no longer possible on Irdeto2. Worked fine on the first Irdeto version. Card sharing is now the only thing possible, but illegal to do.

You may be tierd (or indeed tired) of card sharing, but it remains the only way to "duplicate" a cards functions.

No you cant modify your card.

Details of card sharing - plenty on the forum. Spend half an hour using the search function up near the top of the page
