I just binned three just under a month ago, one of which was a prototype. Integra chipset firmware which never worked out of the box. Shame on the company for failing their developers and the feedback.

Could have been yours for the cost of collection, and 50p for boxing.

Sorry

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness"

My System: late non plus panasonic sky box and communist 2m offset dish

i have a 4375 which is not working (fault powers up, screen displays four green zeros) nothing on tv via scart and channel numbers dont move via key pad on box (of course i have no remote). maybe its a pin lock, or corrupt software. do you have a manual/fault chart for this box? - if you are interested and think its a non starter to fix but will be ok for your chips then you can have it for the fiver i bought it down car boot for, plus whatever it costs to post.

hi -- thanks for the reply ,
i,m getting the one from stoneman44 , its in the post /to me at the moment --
the fault you have on yours - sounds the same as the fault i have on my orignal reciever - will your 4375 display any menu,s ?
if not then it probably has the same problem

i did try reloading the software on mine but it made no difference

i have a workshop manual p.d.f. file for the 4375 with error codes etc - but was not any the wiser for having looked through it -
so i sent the reciever to a repair man who specialises in digital tuner repairs - and I.C replacement etc -- who diagnosed my fault as the A.V. chip failiure -- he tried all his suppliers- but the chips are now obsolete - hence my ad on here for a scrap box

My System: 1 metre satelite dish and Strong SRT-4375 reciever. (malfunctioning)
Unhappy

This seems to be a rather common problem for the Strong SRT-4375 model. Our reciever broke done, so I had it fixed by my teacher. He replaced the entire mother board, but shortly after the exact same problem occurred again. So we just pulled the plug and left it in a cupboard for two years. But when my brother decided to try it out IT WORKED AGAIN!!! By now it's broken again and I hope that we won't have to wait another two years before it gets fixed again.....
If anyone can spare any parts that would be really helpful.

hi TakeshiG
yes - same fault again on your reciever -
i tried very hard to find a new A/V chip for mine -- they are obsolete and can,t be obtained - i replaced mine with the one i bought from member "stoneman44"-- and have since bought another as a spare on"e-bay" - they do turn up on there now and again --and go for around £20.00 -- its worth checking regularly -

OK, thanks for the reply. It's good to finally know what the problem is. I'll look into Ebay sometimes then.
Thanks again.

You might find it worthwhile to consider buying the latest Strong model or something compatible to what you have now, instead of trying to resurrect the dead.
I think they are quite cheap, especially in Europe (Germany, Polland, etc.)

Well, I have not been able to find any other models with both digital and analog or even only analog. Sadly it is too windy here for our 1m dish to work properly for digital.

Ok. Didn't realize about the analogue need.
Still, should be available in Europe (Germany for sure), as they have/had a lot of analogue channels on Astra 19.2.
You can also post in the classified section with Wanted prefix. You might get responses from our members.

OK. Perhaps I will try that, but shipping an entire reciever costs far more than a single chip. Maybe I'll look into it in the future.
