WOW! The Dutch were amazing, the Sneijder goal was a classic goal, I think it would be fair to say they are the favourites now.

Typical You have a really good defence and Van Nistelrooy scored tonight.

I'm bottom at the mo, none of my players have done anything amazing

SupaLiga @ Euro 2008 - GS1 Update

(jpg version attached)

The first round of games at Euro 2008 is complete with the victory of Sweden over defending champions Greece, and like Greece in 2004, an unknown player within Premier League SupaLiga is leading this international edition of the league.

Analoguesat, a veteran of F1 SupaLiga but debutant in football SupaLiga circles, currently heads the table by 5pts from kreacher and his Creatures. This continues a brillant week so far in SupaLiga for Ana, as he also posted a season record score in the F1 league.

Reigning PL SupaLiga champion S_G is 2nd bottom. Guess who is bottom ! PLSL runner-up, Norm, sits in 3rd with the Donkey national team, and Tom34 - 2nd from bottom in PLSL - is 4th at the moment with the Rainbow team.

Group Stage 2 starts tomorrow, so get your transfers sorted tonight or in the morning, and remember - a maximum of 4 transfers are permitted this stage, and there is no cost on transfers.

So for stage 2 I have to change a winning formula?? Bu99er!

The modern day equivalent of sticking a pin in a chart seems to have done me well so far - I shall continue in the same way!

Nope, there is absolutely no obligation to change your team right now, if you don't want to. You will almost certainly need to change once the group stage has been completed as some of your players won't be playing any more, but I shall warn everyone about that

I'm wishing I tried that method as well now

The end of the Switzerland - Turkey game was terrific, Arda's winner was a real belter (if a little lucky!).

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

LOL, well I seem to be jinxed on these competitions, I always manage to pick at least two players who are not picked and this round is no exception.

SupaLiga @ Euro 2008 - GS2 Update

(jpg version attached)

Going into the final round of group stage matches, we already know that Portugal, Netherlands and Spain are through, but there is still uncertainity for a number of the favourites - Germany face Austria on Tuesday needing a win to be sure, while France and Italy face-off in a replay of the World Cup final where the cost of defeat is elimation.

On top of SupaLiga @ Euro 2008 is kreacher on 116pts, taking 1st from GS1 leader Analoguesat and his Border FC team. Just behind the leading pair is the rapidly resurgent Squadro dello Sello, fighting to defend the honour of manager S_G, reigning PL SupaLiga champion.

At the other end of the table, I am no longer bottom I'm only 2nd from bottom . gbaggerz's Euro Dreamers currently occupy the wooden spoon zone.
