Whilst 'bad English' may be a deliberate act .... so is murder otherwise it would be manslaughter........ So what..you may ask..... precisely

All completely off topic however upon reflection yes the 'bad English' could be used to divert your attention away from the actual problem in hand that of lack of footie on Digitalb.
actually mansalughter can also be deliberate....

but hey, i digress as well...

Not too happy about this situation...was anyone able to get any 3pm games on saturday, and if so using which media....

not having 3 o clock football is a nightmare...i might even be forced to go for a wlak with the missus or something!

please help!

There were 2 Saturday 3PM kick offs on Digi TV 1W, the Hull City game on Galaxie Sport, with English commentary and the Everton game on Prima_Cz, without English commentary.
Also Canal + Sport 1, 1W, part of the Canal Digial package, showed the Stoke City game.

I spoke to the main dealer in London by phone today.

He said 3pm games off for one or two months.

Canal+ 2 and Extra showed Everton and Hull games.

Sky Italia/Calcio showed the Everton/Blackburn, Boro/Spurs and West Ham/Wigan games. Sportmax turkey showed the Boro one, Diema bulgaria showed Bolton v Stoke, Sport TV Portugal showed the Everton as well.

Ever 3PM was available somewhere, and obviously was on Showtime 7W as well.

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!)

I'd like it if everyone could read this: Saturday 3pm - The HOT List

yeah, i couldnt get that 1west sat with a 1 metre in belfast...was pretty píssed off..considering the games that digitalb did show were suffering because of the weather..

not sure if the signal for intelsat 707 on 1 west is very weak or i was just not getting it..

You should be able to get Digi Tv on 1 West with a good quality 1 Metre dish.
Is your dish motorized ? It might need re-aligning, I would check all the satellites, in the arc, and if you're not getting the weaker satellites start from the beginning by aligning your dish on the satellite nearest to your due south position.

na mate, im not motoerised...so im merely guessing the 1 west position by moving the dish from 13east..

its a pain in the rear.

the sat is in my receiver as intersat 707 1w...is that right?

because ive never updated the software on my receiver and its a few years old...

whats closest to due south with a strong signal that would allow me to get a better indication of 1west?

cheers

My System: Dreambox 800 Nabilo Blackhole v1.0/250 Gig/ Dreambox 500s-(clone) PLi Jade/ Relook 400s 160 Gig-/SifTeam 1.93 e enigma Foretec 90cm Dish with Nikkai Diseqc Motor- 2 sky+ receivers fixed 28.2 east.

The reason you could not get 1W on Saturday could have been due to the extreme weather conditions last Saturday cos you should get it ok. Our due south Sat here is 5W then a very slight tweak to the east (left) should put you on it.

Hello,

I have a question very stupide, but I am new to this forum and I don't know the history of the rights of the EPL.

I would like to know why in the UK sky or setanta dosen't brodcast a 3PM games of the EPL?

Because I know that setanta show a 3PM games on setanta Ireland, so why it is forbitten for the UK?

Is somebudy know???

It's the FA that decided showing Saturday 3 PM kick Offs have a detrimental effect on fans visiting the matches so banned any showing of Saturday 3 PM games in this country.
They decided selling the rights abroad, to foreign countries, which includes Ireland, would not have any detrimental effect on attendances.
This ruling now seems somewhat out of date as since S*y bought the rights to the Premiership there isn't as many Saturday 3 PM matches played.
The big arguement is whether it is television coverage that is hitting attendances or the overpricing of tickets, especially for family attendance.
With so many pubs now showing Saturday 3 PM games, with foreign subscriptions readily available, and undercutting S*y's ridiculous prices, the FA have acted.
Personally I think it's more to protect their television money, from S*y, than to enforce the act and improve attendances.

Eurosport 2 is also part of the Digi TV package so you can receive both of them, but Galaxie Sport has an English Commentary option.
The majority of Saturday 3PM kick Offs, that are open, are currently on 1 West, Digi TV and Canal Digital.
Can you receive 1 West, and what satellite equipment do you have, size of dish, make of Receiver, Cams, Cards..?

I would be grateful if anyone could help with this....

I use a humax 8001 ci...and it has not been updated since i bought it (i dont even think there is any updated software available..)

Now the problem is getting intelsat 10-02...on 1 west.. for 3 o clock prima and galaxie

My receiver has intelsat 707 as a pre-installed setting and is listed as 1 west...

now it seems that 707 is a different sat from 10-02...and that 707 is no longer on 1 west and has indeed been replaced by 10-02...now my question is, what info does the receiver have encoded into it in order to pick up a specific satellite...and will the setting on my system that will be looking for 707 on 1 west still pick up 10-02 on 1 west if i use 10-02 tp's...

i know this may be a daft question..but i dont know the answer and therefore have to ask

regards
ciarán.

My System: thats what i'm here for

My two setups are fixed and both have been working fine last football season.

both setups are having the same problem, no football being showing on prem channels.

is there football being shown on other channels ?

are they still showing 3pm kick off's on digitalb ?

I have a 80cm dish and a 1m dish. both pointing 16E and they haven't been moved or adjusted. Both using technomate recivers and conax cam with digitalb cards inserted.

i thought it was a digitalb problem and not one of my setup, please help if you can. I would like to keep the same setup and dish position if possible, are the games available on digitalb ?

thanks
