I thought it was a good game, up until the end I thought United were better (at least had a few more chances and a denied penalty), towards the end there was some Everton pressure.

Shame it had to end on penalties, but thats how it goes.

I think a lo of people were thinking Everton are going to have an easy day without the established United stars, but it has been shown that we got a lot of very good youn players in our team. To play the way they did for 120 minutes against a strong Premiership team is a credit to them. Go on now Everton, get the cup! After beating Villa, Liverpool and United you have deserved it.

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!)

As SAF said himself, Everton are a big club, so it's long overdue that they won something. Come on Toffees!

I have no words of criticism for Fergie or the youngstars, but Riley must surely be taken off the list of refs now, terrible decision. Berbatov is a disgrace, what the hell does he do other than rely on the hard graft of other players?

Well I thought that Moyes was way out of order with his remarks about Riley - the penalty was a direct result of this. I am surprised the FA are not going to throw the book at him - if this is not bringing the game into disrepute then I don't know what is...

P.S. I also lost a bet with my boys on how long Lois Saha is going to last. I was on 60 minutes, Junior on 73 and SG on 80...Damn he went on to 69 min lol

Should make Wednesday nights game a little more intersting now, Chelsea Vs Everton !!!!!!!!!!
I was impressed by how some of the youngsters palyed, against a nearly full strength Everton, but disappointed that Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs weren't even on the bench, and Rooney and Ronaldo weren't even there.
It will be interesting to see the line up for Wednesday nights game at Old Trafford.

Sack Fergie !!!!!! Never !!!!
You should have been around for some of the really dross managers we had, like Tommy Docherty and Dave Sexton, among others.
By the way I really disliked Tommy Docherty !!!!!!!!

Fergie said that he saw the pitch yesterday and he realised it was all soft and heavy, and he did not want to have his main players playing there for 120 minutes. So he decided to go for the youth. After all, there are a lot of games coming up. PLus, some of the players such as Carrick did a lot of running a few days ago.

P.S. Sack Fergie after all he has done??? I would go so far as to say I'd rather not win anything for 5 years and not let that man be sacked. Man when I started to support United we went 20 something years without a title, since then it's been nothing but success. We are in good hands

The pitch looked the same for the Carling Cup final, slow with the ball not zipping over the surface.

I know some fans who actually went to Wembley, including Everton supporters, and they were not too happy, especially as there is a problem with the trains, due to work on the railway tracks, so they disn't know if they would be able to stay until the end of the game and make the last train back.

The FA should be investigated for their stupidity, firstly in playing this semi final at Wembley, but mainly for playing it on a Sunday when they must have known that transportation was a problem.

Why couldn't the United Vs Everton game be played on Saturday and the all London game be played on Sunday?

I agree 100% about Sir Alex, I'd let him stay on as long as he wants, even if we never win another trophy, the joy he's given United fans over the last 20 odd years, and the players we've seen at Old Trafford, were undreamed of under Docherty, Sexton and Atkinson.

Even the team on Sunday was a joy to watch and showed some potential future stars.

If he does retire I hope he becomes part of the board and stays on to help United beat Liverpool's trophy count, I'm sick of hearing about their 18 titles and 5 European cups !!!!!!

I don't think he will stay on the board, at least not immediately otherwise his huge shadow will kill any new manager. Can you imagine being the next manager while Fergie is watching over your shoulder? I think he should retire, play with his horses for a year or two and then come back as whatever he wants to.
