Talking ESPN America joins Sky family pack

ESPN America (channel 417) has joined the News and Events mix in the Sky six mix. Therefore if you can watch Eurosport 1 & 2 you can now watch ESPN Yankee as well

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!)

Good news, hopefully this is indicative of things to come from ESPN.

I wouldnt hold out much hope for the forthcoming Prem channel being in the basic pack.

My System: Sky+ HD, TM-3500 D+ USB PVR, CD Total (FI)

I wonder who's gonna pick up UFC, I'm hopin' it'll be ESPN HD or SKY Sports HD. But so far I'm happy about ESPN America is secured.

a bit OT, but I read on some site that ESPN UK would be a separate channel, like some of footie teams' channels in SKY package, so that'd be an extra tenner for prem.

I'm not really bothered if they only show prem on ESPN UK, but if they pick up some other interesting US Sports, I might shell out for that.

Mental note: cancel Setanta direct debit.

From what I can gather £5 a month is a possibility, though I suspect that'd be a tie-in with Sky Sports for that, ie if you subscribe to Sky, you can get ESPN at a lower rate.
