My System: Technomate 5400 ci 1.1m motorised dish. Lots of PC's...I fix them.
Dish size for a reasonable amount of footy ?

A mate of mine called round the other day, and was very impressed with my setup. His first question was "can you get much football on it?".
As the only way I would watch football, would be to tie me to a chair and cut my eyelids off, I couldn't answer him. He isn't fussed about the commentary, he would be perfectly happy just getting the video.
I've heard suggestions that the Nanoxx is a good piece of kit, but my main query, is what sats would be worth him getting?
He doesn't want a massive dish on the end of his house, so forget Nilesat. He was ok with the idea of something about 80-88cm in size, and I'm wondering if it would be necessary to motorise it, or if it could be a multi LNB setup? 1W Thor seems to have a bit on it, and is possible on a smaller dish.

Any other suggestions/ideas?

Thanks in advance.

First have your friend find out where her would need to site the dish, ask him to check roughly where South is, he can do this by looking at the mini sky dishes, pointing at 28.2 degrees East of South and then move 28.2 degrees West of that, to the right if standing behind the dish.
There are some nice motorized setups and the Fracarro dish looks quite good, take a look at this thread:

He also needs to consider how much hes willing to spend on subscriptions - theres no free EPL footy these days.

Thanks for the replies guys.
One of his walls is roughly south facing, and quite high, so line of site shouldn't be an issue, even on a wall mount.
He wasn't that bothered about what sort of football (or didn't seem to be), just wanted a good selection.
I zap through any football I see when searching around, so am not best placed to advise him on where it can be found.
Is there much on 19.2 E ? I presume it would be German if so ?
He's got a mini dish already, but I'm wondering if a multi LNB setup, ie 19.2E Hotbrd, and if possible Thor on the end of the bar might keep him busy?

The German channels show quite a lot of football, including some England International games.
They have been showing the Under 21's and the Confederation cup.
Check LJ's for listings and channels:
