My System: Sky
Complete Novice

Hi All,

As the title says, im a complete novice to this and looking for an alternative to Sky (which i pay nearly £80 a month for),

Im looking to get as much football as possible, i know showtime has rights to EVERY premiership game but a not sure if a 2.4 meter dish will go down well in the sunny suburbs of Stanmore, London (HA7).

I was looking on Live on sat and seen that a lot of premiership games are being shown on C+ (D/F/N/S). How easy would it be for me to get these channels at my location, and what sort of costs will be involved, My only previous experience is setting up a mini dish on a static caravan for Sky tv with the use of a £5 sat finder from Ebay.

Thanks

C+ (D/F/N/S) are on 1°w and you will get that on an 80cm dish, although a 100cm dish would be better for all weather conditions.

The cost of the 1°w subscription cards are extremely high.

Why would SKY Germany be showing UK games????? surely they will be showing Bundesliga games over there or has a reciprocal agreement been arranged?

Sky Germany (was Premiere) have been great at times but will wipe out an entire UK line up when the German football clashes (as you'd imagine). Not quite sure how this is going to pan out for the new season and new channel lineup.

It's not that hard to imagine football fans watching football from around the world is it? That's how we get to watch UK 3PMs here!
