Dreamboxes dont magically give you free pay tv - you still need access to a subscription.

The best one is probably Showtime on 7W but it needs a BIG dish in the UK. (Dish size is location dependant)

This means a decent dish - not some ultra cheapie from Maplins!

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT | A 1.2m dish would barely get the horizontal transponders, only about 1 to 2 dBs more gain than a 1m. You should see them though.

![]() | By Canal Sport are you referring to the Canal Digital package on 1 West? You require a smaller dish for this package, but as stated for the Horizontal channels, on Showtime, 7W, you will need a large dish: _http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/showtime.html As you can see the lyngsat map doesn't even show the dish size required in the UK: _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/ab4a.html and the kingofsat map is a little confusing, regarding dish size required: _http://en.kingofsat.net/beams.php?s=33&b=53 If you are lucky enough to only require a quality 1.5M dish, or slightly larger, it might be worth considering, as most of us have no chance of receiving these channels, not without a 2.4M - 3M monstrous dish, and poor Scotland misses out altogether

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me. |
