My System: 1m dish and encoder currently picking up Hotbird 13E
3pm Football (again!)

Morning all,

On recommendation from this site a few years ago I bought a 1m dish to get the Art Sports collection on Hotbird 13E. It was brilliant so thank you!

Now, a few years later, I'm trying to get as close to that as possible again! As a Tottenham fan, I'm after a similar set-up to ART which showed a selection of matches (rather than just the top 4) at 3pm.

As a result of much reading over the past year or so, it seems this is much harder to come across than it once was. However, just coming back from Turkey, I was able to watch the game (from a selection of about 6 games) and it got me thinking again! (There was even a show with Rob McCaffrey and Dennis Irwin with all the goals at 17:00 GMT!)

From some recent research, it seems that I can't access Supersports (I think that's what it was) as their field doesn't stretch this far so I was wondering what my options were.

Having since read other people's similar questions, Dreamboxes have been recommended and, I was wondering if that was my only real option to get a selection of 3pm games? If so, I annoyingly still don't really get how it works! Would my 1m dish be enough? Why does it need access to the internet? Is that so that you can watch things illegally to unscramble?

I've just re-read this and realise I've written and consequently, asked a lot but any help would truly be appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Look forward to hearing your responses,

Josh

A 1m dish is big enough.

You need to investigate card sharing, either search this forum or read up the many links from a search engine.

When you investigate card sharing you might decide it's not for you. The next option is a foreign card like Ѕky Italia, these will cost you over £1000 per season.

My System: Sky; Raven 90 multi-LNB 1W, 7E, 9E, 13E 16E, 19E; 1m Orbital dish on Moteck SG2100 motor; Technomate 1500, Phoenix Apollo and Kathrein (analogue) etc etc Receivers

There are still some cheaper cards that might get 3PM football e.g. Bulsat/Diema; other cheap cards have one short coming or the other though they still get a decent amount of EPL e.g. no 3PM matches on DigitAlb or limited matches on ART.
