Abu Dhabi GP in HD!

Hi,

I don't know how long this will last (I'm hoping until after the GP!) but Eurosport HD is in the clear on Eutelsat W3 (7°E), TP 10928H, DVBS2, 30,000, VID 201, SID 206, AUD 311.

You can also select the English audio stream! I'm watching the last few laps of the GP2 race, live.

Hope some of you can pick this up,

Pete

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Yes, I scanned 7E last night and found loads of Premium stuff FTA.

But that was on an SD Receiver, so thanks for the prompt: I shall go and update my Foxsat. Never seen F1 in HD, so let's hope it stays clear for the duration.

No joy here in UK (N.Yorks). Not really sure why cos Europe B Beam is otherwise damned strong here, despite the roaring gales severely testing the security and stability of my Dish.

Brundle, Brundle Little Star - You're on.

Edit: That TP is fine on my 1.1m Dish, but not on the 80cm.

Unfortunately, despite all my switching and distribution facilities, my HD Rx cannot easily be attached to the big Dish.

I feel a reshuffle Project coming on!

Hmm.

It is right on the margin for my 80cm. Managed to get a sniff and to scan in the Channels on that TP and get EPG Data, but it is mainly out of lock.

Will see if the weather abates in the next 90 minutes: A dry LNB face might just make the difference.

Hi,

Apologies to Analoguesat for posting it in the wrong place

Got heavy rain here from time to time and the signal drops to a level below which I can get a lock. However, when it clears to a steady downpour, I get 75 Strength/77 Quality.

I've lit the log burner, going to make my lunch and hopefully settle down to the F1GP in HD!

Managed to get snatches of Video and Audio now - but the weather is as foul as ever, so I don't hold out too much hope!

I should also like to apologise to Analoguesat - not because I've done anything wrong (today), but just to be in credit for future use

No problem mate - we have all done it and thats what the staff are for

Its absolutlely hosing it down here too - hard enough to be disrupting our Sky 28E reception.

I hope I'm wrong and haven't mislead too many people but I've managed to access the 7 day EPG and it doesn't show coverage of the GP, which surprises me!!

However, it also shows that at the moment we should be seeing the FIFA U 17 World Cup from Nigeria - but it's actually the WTC from Japan, so I'm confused.

Sorry to get everyone's hopes up!!

Even the Now and Next suggests the current non-Motorsport Programme finishes at 13.15, so I'm afraid we gave a busted flush here.

Yes, to continue the analogy, I fold!!

Having stuck with Eurosport HD, it's just told me that up next is live coverage of the NY Marathon. So I've quickly swapped to the BBC GP transmission. (why they can't show this in HD I don't know)

It's a shame as the weather has cleared up here and I was getting a steady signal. Looks like humble pie for dessert!!
