Can't beleive either, sick as a parot...or even 3 lions.

A liverpool player gave away the free, and a liverpool player made that last back pass.

Oh well, all credit to France, they didn't give up and we gave them far too much possession in the second half, it was a defeat waiting to happen.

We've just got to make it count in the next two games.

Reminds me of Manchester United's win over Bayern Munich! At this level, if you let your concentration lapse for only a second, you pay the price.

They said there might be 20% off work on the Monday

Was this if England won , or lost ?

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2

Does '20% off work' mean thay everyone can do a four day week?

Does it work like that? Can you pick which day? 'Cos right now, I don't know which day of the week it is!

All you can say is that we played pretty well for most of the game, even if the strikers didn't really get a work out, and that if we play like that and win the next two games, then we go through.

Big Ask!

LOL, I watched the game and was impressed in the first half. I confess that I sat here with my head in my hands for a minute or so after the second goal, I really was numb.

And I am not a great football fan.

We're not dead and buried yet, we made Europes no.1 side (world no.1 side ?) look very ordinary for 90 minutes, even if we did not attack them enough in the second half.
All we have to do is win our next two group games (which we should) and we are still through to the quarter-finals, no problem.
I'll tell you one thing, no one will fancy playing us, and we have no reason to fear anyone.

I agree Rob, during the first half we made France look very pedestrian, just can't understand the tactics in the second half, it has long been known that the fortress defence tactic is very tiring and often has dire results.

As you say, nobody is going to look at playing us as an easy option.

We lost the game because we were over confident.

Thumbs up

Must disagree Jaffer, we lost because we made three mistakes. First missing the penalty then two bad defensive mistakes, it happens still that's football.
As for feeling over confident against a team like France, I don't think so.
But we will learn and come back a stronger team for it, remember we are not out yet.

Thought it was interesting how Rooney started showing Gascoigne like characteristics, nearly lost the plot at the end.

Well with a bit of luck, we may well get another chance to beat them yet.

PS. @ stropez, see post to you in Astra 28.2 Fringe reception forum.
