Help! :)

Hi all,

Firstly, please excuse my lack of knowledge - I am quite new to all this!

Allow me to explain; my uncle has a motorised satellite dish and is able to pick up lots of foreign channels. We want to watch a football match, which is to be shown on C+ Sport (Poland) and TPS Star.

He claims we could watch them but to be honest with you, he doesnt really know and has asked me to find out! - here's where you guys come in (hopefully!).

Looking at L.J.'s site:
C+ Sport (Poland) - Seca 2
TPS Star - TPSCrypt Via 2
(both 13 deg e)

what does seca 2 and tpscrypt mean? does it mean we wont be able to watch them?

Sorry if I sound too brief or unknowledgable but I'm trying, hard!

All replies will be extremely grateful,

Thanks in advance,

Josh

Hi Josh

Giving a list of the equipment you already have , both outside and inside, will allow readers to advise on the best (and cheapest ) way of getting the channels

My System: Dreambox 7000, Skystar2

You will not be able to watch those channels unless you are prepared to decrypt them yourself using some dodgy kit. If the motor rotates the dish such that it can see 13E (very likely) and is big enough, in good enough condition and has a good LNB then you will be able to receive the signal.

I think that the first channel you metion is unavailable, but the second may be.

The type of receiver, and any other kit your uncle has will determine if it's easily within your reach. More information is essential, particularly on the receiver. Does it have any CI slots?

If you want to get TPS Star legally you can buy a 12 month TPS Star subscription from Surpin Electronique for 160 Euros (£120) + 12 Euros postage. They will supply people outside France.
Their website is http://www.surpin.fr/
They also supply CanalSatellite subscriptions
