Unhappy Art Cards Bye Bye !!

It seems that ART have been pressuried by certain TV companies who have the rights to show premiership games into cutting down on the production of pre-paid cards.
This means your not gonna be able to get cheap cards anymore.

ART are moving to a scratch card system which can only be activated in Morocco via an official address and phone number..

My System: Plaza ST550 Dragon 4.1, Cas2 + Add on. Mastera card progger. Lots of Ice Scrapers :-)

Just wondering, is it worth buying one now (whilst they're still available), or will it be useless when mine runs out (about June)?

That's the $64,000 question. I think that there are only two ways to find out.

1) Ring them.
2) Wait and see.

Firstsat. Team | Art Supuk

This is FIRSTSAT. TEAM at www.firstsat.co.uk

All ART Sport cards found now in the Market are OLD STOCK and apparently ART is already cutting down on production.

No one is able to buy more than 4 cards at any ART branch in Mid-east & Africa.

And all non-inserted prepaid subscription already sold will work their subscription as normal when inserted.

Bottom of the line: It's coming to an end

I'm afraid all three of those are scheduled to change encryption long before the new season starts.

All of D+ is due to go today , and SI in the very near future. CABO hot on their heels and TP$ in the summer.

Something will turn up though.

Just swing your dish around to 30w. Think TV sport is still open with latest ke*s. Havent looked this week yet. TV Sport show nearly all Chelsea games. As BeGonnaStick says hopefully next year something might be sorted to view these again.

Happy Dreaming

Yeah, but guess who RM's gonna target next...

The only hope is that he's distracted this summer by the earth-shattering developments on the Dreambox...

My System: looking for one !
Unhappy

Just looking at getting one of these. This is very bad news. Is it worth getting a few prepaid cards to carry up till the Art deal runs out in 2008 ? If the prepaid cards will work on insertion for 6 months a time this must be worth doing ????

Nidal is it worth buying a load of cards then ? Will you still be able to use them 2 years down the line ? I`m definately up for buying 6 of these if they are going to carry on working that would take me up to the end of ARTS current deal to show PL matches I am presuming ?

This is the crunch question. I have bought one off Ebay for £55 and will keep it till season starts again in august.. Although my beloved Tranmere Rovers may get to the play off finals and I might have to use it if I can't get to Cardiff..

But if S*y loose their football monopoly then its all gonna be up in the air again, so who knows whats gonna happen in a couple of months time never mind a couple of years.

What I've learned so far in this hobby is listen to all the bull***t that all the rumourmongers start, and I will put my pet rattlesnake whiskey on it that less than 1/3 off them will actually happen

The Albanian package on 16E looks quite promising and I think they have a couple of years left on their contract. However, until my beloved Walsall start featuring on the telly every week, the chances of me bothering with any football subs are remote in the extreme.

They will be a loud outcry from Arab people living in Europe if they do.

Mmmmm difficult one. If they pull the feed to europe altogether that will be a big problem. Have to think on this. Complicated business

I dont mind buying a load of cards as long as its going to be available and they actually work but I guess there is no way of knowing this.
