I am but I now help run a brand new Satellite forum in the USA called (forum link removed) Much like here we have members from all over the world and its all about fun and the love of everything related to satellite. I must say its great to find this forum to keep upto date with everything in the UK, where I started in satellite.

You know its strange when I lived in the UK I was always looking for satellite channels and feeds from the USA. Now I am based here in the USA I crave some good old TV from home.

All the best!

Sorry about that, I thought it was OK since there was a mention of the other forum! I tried to remove the link but I can't edit my post. Please feel free to remove the link.

Not being pedantic, but AFAIK sat guys usa isn't the name of the forum.

Anyhow, keep us posted on any interesting news from across the pond

Hi Pete,
Selling free to air stuff in a region of the US means you are really governed by the locals that are looking for the stuff that is either in their native language or on the education/gospel circuit. I don't think this would be enough to live off unless you are able to beat the competition from the door.

Have you contacted the local schools / education centres to see if they would bite ?
What about the church groups ?
What else can you do apart from install systems?

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Ah, but Free to Air means something entirely different in the US hobby forums.

Thanks for the advice guys, I can assure you I am 100% hack free here in the USA. I am not interested regular TV channels but rather the LIVE news and sports feeds on LEGAL FTA here in the USA. If it ain't live it's not worth watching (IMHO)

In fact the receivers I sell CAN'T be hacked (TRAXIS) I do get calls from hackers now and then asking for help, but being State Licensed I reject all hack type work. I had to work too hard for my Technology Systems Contractor License to get it taken off me for helping hackers.

My main problem here in Minnesnowta is the winter weather, sometimes too cold to even step outside. Same for some days in the summer, last year I got heat stroke.

You know sometimes the wet mild weather of the UK sounds good Can't complain just back from a week working in Los Angeles where I got to visit Hollywood Video on youtube!

Put the video up then.

Use [ tube] number of video in between [ /tube] no spaces of course.

Thanks shane77

Sorry for the video quality, the camera was on the wrong setting. I also took a few pictures but they were so bad I trashed them

One was of me (Wearing a 96.3 Rock Radio T-Shirt) slapped up against a Los Angeles Cop car, they cop popped his head out the door of the building and joked " Hey we charge for pictures" My friend shouted "Cuff him Cuff him"
Shame they did not turn out.
