How to flash a new image

Latest boxes come with Official 1.04 and 1 watt standby rating. Use correct image for your box.

Format usb drive with FAT 32

Download and extract image so you have folders on the drive, remove any any 'how to's to your desktop'.

So on the usb drive you have:

Top folder 'kathrein'
Next folder down 'ufs910'
Next folder down five? data files

Insert drive in to front usb slot under front flap.
switch on power with the menu button pressed from front panel under flap.
Box should boot up.
Message 'emergency boot' then 'UPDATE' on display panel, release menu button
Do not touch until update complete and OSD comes on tv screen
Change default language from German if reqd.
Install as if from scratch setting lnb and then scan if reqd.

Do at your own risk.

Reported success rates are good.

There is a prog called Kathiup which allows for null modem flashing too.

We need guides on Channel list loading and FTP. The other forum is a bit Euroish!

I will try and post up when I have loaded up emu etc.
