Smile Funcard 6in1 Quick question :)

Dear All

I have recently set up my system, see previous posts and am now beginning to experiment. (Ranging from the ecstatically happy to the tearing out of my hair!!!)

Set up is

Manhattan Plaza 3300, I have 3 CAMS: Black Ice (This is a version of the Joker Cam?) Red Viacess and Aston Cam, monoblock pointing at Hotbird 13E & Astra at 19E and a VX Multi 2 Programmer.

I have programmed Gold Cards and they seem to work, however it looks like what is available is now limited, as these use old style basic encryptions. This right?

Reading on the web you can get 6in1emulators, so I thought this is the way to go forward. This is where my questions start. For a 6in1 to work, it looks like you need a fun card.

A. Does the 6in1emulator reside on the fun card, or do you use the files on the fun card to reprogramme your receiver/cam. i.e. the funcard is used to load info into cam/receiver, is not needed like a gold card to hold the "Keys" while receiving the broadcast.

B. Do 6in1 files only run on certain Cams of will they run on any cam. i.e. could I get 6in1 files to run with any of my existing Cams

Apologies for the these simple questions, I've search around on the net but it's getting me more confused

Any help/advice is appreciated.

Cheers Joe

Hi joe
You need a funcard 4 or 5 to program your Black Ice CAM (Loader + eep files). Alternatively you can use a CAS programmer.
6in1 files are then programmed onto your Funcard to go in your Black Ice.
See:-
h**p://www.la-cafetera.com/joker-eng.htm
for details.

Llew now we're cooking!!! (Never used that phrase before but it seems appropriate now!!)

Ok so now just need to find some 6in1 software to load into the Black Ice.

When I look at the cam setup it says it has "Skycript" and "No Zap" loaded. Will the 6in1 software over write these existing files?

Just weighing up if I'll completely mess up the card when updating it and if its worth it!

Cheers again!

Joe

No 6in1 won't affect your loaded CAM.
Finding funfiles a bit dodgy at the moment, many forums with keyfiles closed. Try:-

h**p://gccadm.net/forum/

still open as I write.
