Its when the screen goes black, you need to update the keys inside the cam/card if available.
Key editing is like changing from one used to a new one.
Hope this helps you out.

I don't quite know what patched means, though i have an idea, but yes, i have all the multivision channels and TPS. Is it possible to clear canal + and have foot+ to view french football.

Thanks for you help.

Well then your receiver is patched.
Dont think C+ Is available.
Have a look at Jimbo section to see if french football is available or you could look here h**p://knplogic.com/sport/index.html

My System: Pace 2200 Sky digibox with ftv card, Comag SL65 FTA sat receiver, 40cm Sky minidish, Setpal terrestrial receiver (for free uk tv only!).

keys are the "public" part of the video encryption scheme, allowing your viewing card to decode the signal.

how do you check that? I can view canal + when it is on clear, but then it scrambles, there must be a way to keep it clear all the time?

Just put it into the receiver slot. IF its genuine it should clear the picture.

Just seen you only have CI slots. You need to put the card into a cam, and then the cam into the CI slot. Or if your receiver has an embedded cam, although I doubt your tecnomate has one.

The thing is, i am still waiting to receive it, but i bought it on Ebay, so i guess they might have changed the code since then. However, i got a site with the keys, i think, but i don't know how to enter them, never done it before!

Thanks

Nico

PS: My receiver has both card slot and cam slot. What does the cam actually do? And what's the difference between tem all?

The cam is the interface between your reciever and the card, this makes your receiver adaptable to many different (cards) encryption systems.
The only thing you can do until you get your receiver is read forum posts. There are many receiver - card - cam combinations, not everything is compatable.First step is get your receiver and see what you need then to get it in order for the encryptions you require.
