What are NAGRA autoroll files?

Info exchange on hex/plain/masters, handler/service-keys, Prov-IDs, ChIDs, PPUAs, etc. NO KEYS MAY BE POSTED!

What are NAGRA autoroll files?

I see these HEX files in many places, I was just wondering
what the 'autoroll' refers to... Does it mean that it gets
automatically updated through the receiver so you dont need
to do it manually and hence work 'forever'?

Sorry if this is a stupid question

Its a kind o firmware that emulates the original card and get the EMM of the "gold" key and store it to the internal-eeprom .
We don't need to insert new keys as they xchange.
But if the operator does a new way of update such keys we need to adapt ( again - and so "not forever" ) the firmware .

Regards.
