Loading updates to a Matrix Revolutions CAM

I have just bought a Matrix Revolutions CAM and I am a bit new to all this so sorry if this is a stupid question. I have been reading through the forum and other various sites but haven't been able to find an answer to my question.

The MRV CAM has come with the 2.24 firmware loaded. If I want to update the CAM do I use a 2.24 firmware UPD file or will any 2.2x (eg 2.25) file work. If I want to upgrade the CAM from 2.24 to 2.25 do I load the 2.25 BIN file to the CAM?

Hi
Don't know much more than you but as no one else has answered will try. I have a matrix reloaded and I always use the UPD files. I usually look around to find a file that has the same version as I currently have eg 2.xx but with a very recent date stamp. If there are none around with a recent date stamp then I find one with a higher version number and load that. It seems to work for me (I am just interested in mult*vision. I assume that the different versions 2.xx open different systems.

Sometimes I have had to load different versions in order to find the one that opens mult*vision

mrv223.zip this updated version is still working with TPS/Multivision channels, but for how long? (found at satdudez) where they normally have the latest working version. You can also edit your own file using the editor, can be found http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/...post27603]HERE
