Echostar AD3000ip (updated with V1100)
Constant pixellation and some freezing. With The MR inserted together with a Conax CAM/**3 card there is break-up, take the MR out and everything's fine.
So not working too good on my receiver, but the same CAM in Humax 5300 and Technomate 5500 is fine - so it's the Echostar at fault

Pixellation and eventual freezing on a Manhattan APCI 2500 with MR 1.08 and a Blue T. Card with 1.06 OS. A change of cam to Conax solved the problem for 1W so I assume it is a box/cam problem. Will try an earlier version of MR when I get the time.

Unhappy Nokia 9800s

Dear Rolf,

Do you know which software versions works with Nokia 9800S? I have tried MR 1.055 and 1.080! I am stuck, so your advise is appreciated!

Tested by me.

BEC 6600ci Works well, also for reflashing
Digiquest 2000ci Works well, also for reflashing
Hyundai HSS800ci Works well, but havent tried with uninitialised MR.

What I've heard.

Humax 5400 Works with the MR, has problems with initialisation after flash upgrade, but can be made to work
Hyundai HSS1000ci Doesn't work well at all with the patched embedded CAM.
Comag (Lidl cheapie) Works, not sure about flashing.
Echostar Whole range appears to work
Samsung 9500 Worksss
Nokia 9800 Works with some sofware versions

Technomate TM-5500CIp - works with MR1.05 MR1.08 MR 1.081 but had to program CAM using a laptop because the serial cable dreamloader module were "erroring" badly trying to use STB (Dreamloader display lights went out constantly & "invalid card inserted message"). Got it nearly working once. Rolfw thinks possibly there is not enough power to the CAM from the Technomate for upgrading.

Technomate TM-5500 works fine

Hi Guys, digital novice returning after some years away from this scene (do I really have to throw away my old D2-MAC?)... anyway, I bought a Technomate TM-5500 primarily because I could keep my old disk and motor and it has worked fine from day 1 with MR 1.080 I just need to work out how to program my own keys next.

Cheers all

I've seen this one before

Update - last night he had a problem with his setup. The CAM is making the receiver turn itself off and on. In fact at one point it lost all it's positions and these had to be put in again. The CAM is also refusing to initialise. So there may well be problems with this combination.
Hello mate... I did see a post on another site about this...I also have a TM5500. The solution was to put the CAM into a PCMCIA slot in a laptop and boot it. Apparently resets everything to its initial state and you can then install it again into the receiver.

"Technomate 5500CIP" needed MR1.081 with a Funcard inserted at all times. Bought a "Technomate 5500CI Super" and the CAM works without a card. Both STB's had the same, latest software revision - Weird. Also had problems connecting to RS232 port to try and reload the software on the CIP.

Echostar ad-3000ip

I have a matrix reloaded 1.071 and tit card 1.06. Works fine for Conax 1West. If I program it for S*Y Italia 13E no picture.

Took Cam and card to friends echostar d-2500 ip - works fine for S*Y Italia.

Anyone else with Echostar ad-3000ip with same problem with S*Y Italia?

MR 1.07 works with Humax 5400Z only when like in my case updated to MR 1.10 and afterwards must be initiated in some other receiver (e.g. Nokia). After that it works fine.

Grundig Selio DTR5210 S CI itself is buggy (it generates IR commands by itself!) but as far as I can tell MR is working fine. Grundig firmware is "106" and I've tried at least 1.07, 1.081 and 1.10 of the MR.

[QUOTE=>COR<]Hello Rolf,

Echostar AD 3000 IP working fine, programming with CAS fine too.

Cheers,

Cor.

Hi Cor

I also have an Echastar AD3000 but am a complete novice. Please can you give me some advice on which programmer and cards I need. And how to obtain keys and program them.

Thanks

Peter (Nottingham UK)
