MR - help pls!

hi there ...very new to this but pls help me.

1) I only need an external programmer and funcards to update the SOFTWARE of the MR cam and NOT for files for channels.... is this true?

In other words, I can get away with using the MR without a programmer and cards until I decide to update the software that the MR cam usues?

reagrds,,,,david

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

The MR will work with an old version on some channels, but will need upgrading for autoupdate on others. You can enter new keys though by remote, see the sticky in this forum
