Bluntly yes they do want your bank details. The folks who fall for these scams and contact them suddenly find there are all sorts of release fees, that need to be paid before they can get their "winnings"

Folks falling for the 419 Nigeria scams also get told they have to pay "bribes" to numerous officials to get the money out. Once the scammers have the bank details the accounts are emptied pronto.

Didn't have to, Eudora has a standard viewing option pre opening.

Is that on the remote mail server or your PC?

I do that too .... but with Mailwasher, as you know Rolf, you view the mail on the ISP's server and bounce/delete/accept without compromising your system.

Eudora doesn't use any browser other than its own one.

I was just trying to establish whether you use an intermediary prog like Mailwasher or whether you were viewing emails on your PC before decding whether you need them?

Sorry, I meant mail browser/Email programme.

@ Jimbo, I stopped using Mailwasher, as it was too easy to delete good mail and the bounce feature simply created more mail with failed delivery notices. I now use Cloudmark for my Browser and I have black holes organised for my mail servers, which simply swallow anything other than correctly addressed mail.

I don't have any problem with Mailwasher pro. I don't get that many emails so I suppose it's easier for me. I don't accept many as I don't actually need many of those that do sit on the server.
