heart stopping moment

my new tv explorer 2 analyzer arrived Friday all 2600 pounds worth.i spent all night getting use to it as u do.any way first job sat morning nice slipper roof with no ridge so i could not use my roof ladder.well aligned antenna then hung it over my shoulder. as i trying to get down some how the shoulder strap unclipped it self from the meter and the meter started to head ground wards.now im not that good at catching things.but some how i managed to just grab the very end of the strap.needless to say i was a very relieved man and will be examining those suspect shoulder strap fasteners.

My System: Andrews 1.2 dish. Inverto LNB. Matched feedhorn. Technomate 6800

At least it was not you that was tumbling to a disaster. I used to be very flippant with ladders but it only needed one occassion when the wind caught me and the ladder to blast us both to ground. Since then its a belt and braces job, top and bottom secured, more time but alot safer.
