I like the way "FIS" consider problem solved when customer is still awaiting replacement!..........For your info FIS, problem is solved when customer is SATISFIED! Not when you decide to answer or return their call, and the goods paid for have been recieved, from reading this thread that has yet to happen (as in apparentley many cases).Your time would be better spent supplying the items people have ordered,on time and working and then you wouldn't be be wasting it defending your shoddy "service" here!

Has your card arrived, and is the matter now resolved to your satisfaction?
I would like to close this thread if all is OK

Hello everyone
My digitalb gold card was returned and is working, hope to enjoy 12 months viewing as promised by falconast - I should never have needed to resort to my previous posts and falconsat should take notice that they really need to sort out their cutomer service. Thanks again nero37

List of unreliable shops

Perhaps it would help if we can have a sticky thread with all the shops that gave our members a hard time, to be maintained by a designated mod and based on genuine thread cases like this one.
Each shop name will link to the corresponding "complaint" thread so that one can read the whole story and the reason for adding the shop's name to the list.

T****ing b*****ds: Falconsat

DO NOT ever deal with these people and pass the word around...

In November I bought a MTI C120 LNB from them via their website and they took the money immediately from my credit card (my online credit card statement showed awaiting authorisation)...

After the item failed to arrive for more than 2 weeks, I sent them a few emails and tried to call them but there was no response... When I checked my account once again I found the money was NOT taken from account and I emailed Falconsat to cancel my order as I was looking for buy from somewhere else...

I bought the LNB from another supplier and behold a few weeks later I got an email saying that the item has been dispatched and the money was taken from my account this time...

I tried calling the t******g b*****d and he never picked up his phone, luckily my credit card statement showed his landline no and I called him using that no... I told him I did not want the item anymore as he had failed to deliver it on time and also failed to reply to my emails and or answer my phone... I threatened to contact my bank and the trading standards office and he just told me to do whatever I can and he is not worried...

I called my bank and logged a dispute and submitted all the proofs I had collected when dealing with this guy and my bank advised me either to refuse the item or send it back...

I couldn't refuse the item as it was not sent recorded delivery and I sent it back.... Yesterday I got a letter from my bank stating that Falconsat has advised them that they have sent me a replacement item on the 4th of Jan 2008 which I have not recieved till now... My bank told me get the proof of delivery from Falconsat...

I called them up in the morning and the owners brother told me to call in the evening at around 5:00 pm and now I have been trying to call him and it looks somebody is transfering the call to voice mail after a few rings...

Once again Beware of this t******g b******...

I want to report this guy to recover my money back... Does anybody have any tips / details?

EDIT: Sorry to use some harsh words in my post but then I snapped having to go through a lot of trouble to sort this out... I apologize for any inconvenience caused...

As you are aware, he does visit this site, I have sent him a PM, notifying him of this post, so that he can perhaps sort the situation out.

Oilsun, when you sent the item back did you send it by a trackable means?

If not, you have no way of proving that he received it back.

Similarly though, since he did not send it to you by trackable means, he has no proof you received it either.

Surely you could have sorted this out between you without a post like this ? Seems a bit harsh - I dont know whether Falconsat is a one man band or has a retail outlet but either way they are not far from you and you could have sorted it out face to face?

Some trades unfortunately go wrong and most of the time its an honest mistake - comments like "Once again Beware of this theiving b******..." are pretty strong and when put on a public website leave you open to legal action for libel!!

Sorry, but have you not read the member's post? It is very difficult to sort out anything with someone who does not answer Emails and does not answer the phone.

If this were the first complaint involving that retailer, I would possibly agree, but do a search on the forum for them before commenting.

I would suggest you read my post completely first...

There is something called as communication.... If there was a delay from the supplier's side I would have at least expected an email saying that there is going to be a delay and I would have happily waited for it...

It has happened to me in the past and I have always had communications with the suppliers who had advised me of any problems...

Read my post completely first

Also if you expect people to travel to his "shop" every time to sort out matters then there is no need to sell online and have a phone no which is never answered...

Well if the person has not challenged me to do whatever I want and had instead sorted it at the earliest, I wouldn't have posted something like this...

What do you want me to do, wait forever to get this sorted???

In that case, you have not received the item you have paid for. Refund due. I'm with Barclaycard and just had to fill a form out and wait a bit to get it re-credited, the last ime I had a problem with an oline retailer.

Agreed it is not easy in that case but yes I did read the post and even though there was a delay (maybe a stock error/post/error all manner of things) the item was sent!!

If this were the first complaint involving that retailer, I would possibly agree, but do a search on the forum for them before commenting.
I didnt do any search about the retaier in question - my main point is thats its a bit wrong to call someone a t******* b******* when clearly the item was delivered albeit late and after not cancelling the order as requested. A thief is someone who purposely seeks to permanently deprive someone of their property - this is the legal definition and is clearly not the case here!! Its not my arguement anyway, Im merely stating facts - things can get pretty nasty if the lawyers get involved and this LNB is hardly the most expensive piece of kit in the world!!!

A more sensible complaint and more justified would be that the stuff was sent late - the order was cancelled and this request was ignored for some reason and just the facts laid out for others to decide whether to use this retailer???

From what ive read since my post it does make me wonder what sort of tone olisun has used to falconsat during his phone calls because the replies here dont seem to show him being very polite??

Im sure any retailer worth their salt would in this case action a refund straight away so long as the unrequired goods have been received back and accept there has been a breakdown of communications???

No -of course its normally not practical to go to the retailers address but as it seems you dont live that far away it would have made sense in this case to try and resolve things by any means !!

No - As above - if you were getting no joy by phone or email the next logical step would have been to go to his premises - considering its so close to you?? I can see your annoyance but I really cant see what point slandering the guy on here is going to do ? I suggest you take up his offer to accept your call and take it from there - maybe you will be pleasantly surprised??

Well it is probably not surprising that he feels slightly irritated by someone suggesting that "Surely you could have sorted this out between you without a post like this", when he had plainly stated that he had already tried that route, with numerous emails and phone calls unanswered , culminating in the suggestion that he should do what he wants as they are not worried.

I think that my cool would also have disappeared by this stage.

Also as I suggested earlier, do a forum search, perhaps also an Ebay search, as they certainly appear to back up Olisun's version of events.

In all fairness I have just spent the last 5 mins reading all the other complaint posts and it does seem there is a problem with delivery times etc... and yes my back would probably be up by now!!

But in all the ones ive read the outcome has been the same - arrival of the order or a refund. Its not good for any company to run like this but my original comment stands - no-one has been defrauded or robbed - so its a little unfair to brand them thieves - and I think its only fair that whatever the complaint between them that Oilsun agrees at least to retract that comment at the conclusion of the complaint????
