Gales in South of England ?

I didn't hear about a gale earlier.

Main dish is (almost) offline after two large gusts about an hour ago.all the dustbins in the road are on their sides, and half the fence at the bottom of the garden is down.

Was there any warning on the news about this ?

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

I think they said it was going to be wet and windy, but can't remember hearing the word gales. Got a roof job this morning, so hoping that it quietens down.

Been very bad here in Chesterfield overnight. At some point today I'm, going to have to ask the neighbours for my shed roof back and find out who the for sale board belongs to that is upside down in my fish pound

LOL, looks like you've got a busy day then Chris.

Thought this was worth showing again, the sort of dramatic damage caused by the storms in Southern England.

More damage I just found this morning, the aerial's finally fallen down!!!

I've been up on the ladders, poking out through the skylight, and have retrieved the aerial before it had any damage done to it so I can re-use it until the mast and lashing are replaced...

I took a few pics too, including one of the view I don't have...

Just one tyre these days - the 19E dish on it had twisted round a fraction so Id lost Bahn TV.

Had also lost my 28E feed to the 7020 as the lnb had worked loose and twisted around a little so thats been bolted down tighter & reinforced with garden wire again.

Well, I braved going onto the roof, mainly to unwrap the coax so that I could get the aerial on a temporary mount indoors, I even stoof up to fiddle with the mast (it's boogered though!!!), thankfully I didn't need to change my underwear, but I was shaking for a while afterwards...

That could have been either the rarified atmosphere out on the roof or your medication
