My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Yes I agree, our regional news is already 50% non-relevant, this will make it unwatchable.

My System: Sky Digibox, Zone 1 Dish.

It did well to last 10 years longer than Independent Local Radio in this area.

My System: Mostly gathering dust cos I'm a lazy git. Porty dish face blew off the mount, not too pleased...

The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

I'm glad we still have BBC NW, seeing how Granada's going to be mixed up with Central...

Then again, the last time I watched ITV1 intentionally was, erm, you know, I can't remember!!!

As an update from this according to a comment over on DS these may be administrative regions, but from there its only a hop skip and a jump to full integration.

Although quite why the boses at ITV think the wonderfully rural are of Border Scotland has any similarity to the big cities in Toon Tees TVland defies understanding

My System: 30W,7W,13E,16E,19E & 28E Dishes everywhere Darkbox 2008HD Sly+ V3

It would free up some space on 2d for Ch4.
How long would the contracts for the transponder space run for?

Hope they still use H and V as fringe area people usually rely on one or the other.

More fun, games and speculation!!!

My System: Sky HD, TM6800HD, Manhattan Plaza ST550 and TM1500 CI+. 1.0m dish and 36v motor, Panasonic DVD HDD recorder and Panasonic video/DVD recorder. Sony G800 HD TV stand/surround system + Sony KDL40W2000. Infinity USB, Elvis, CAS1, CAS2.

ITV london News and ITV News are often the same on the main points. When I'm in the South it's a lot more interesting. Hopefully when I move there will be more South than London ........ but I doubt it.

I live in the tyne tees region and we currenty have tyne tees north (northumberland down to tyne & wear) and tyne tees south (durham down to north yorks).

Now I remeber around 1999 they decided to murge the local news literaly from tyne tees north right down to tt south, it was a disaster...how someone in berwick upon tweed could relate to local news in york was crazy. After loads of complaints, within a year they reverted back to having tyne tees north news and tt south news.

Now looking at this confirmation of TT and border....bloody hell. I will be honest, I stopped watching itv local news anyway, we have the most annoying, slimey presenter lol
