thanks commander S for the info.
I notice from this source the lowest frequency is given as 10.7 for both the European and Middle East fixed beams. The steerable beam is capable of KA and Ku band: some hope for a KU spot over the UK. Shame there is conflict of information between the 2 sources.

My System: Kabel BW

I wonder why the israeli FTA state channels stay on Amos 1.

IBA Channel 1 and IBA Channel 33 FTA new details on Amos 3:
Frequency 11,646V 8,518 3/4
The signal quality is high which might mean better reception in fringe areas, but there is no change in video quality, i.e. the same appalling white washed video with 16 bit colour instead of millions of colours.
What on earth do they do with our TV license money?

Yes that's right. The last frequencies of Amos 1 are now also available on Amos 3. Though 11646V is weaker compared to 11658V. This is what some people in Greece realize.

Several Radio Channels

In addition, several radio channels FTA have also moved to Amos 3.
The sound quality is terrible.
Just listening to the classic Music channel on my FM stereo and compared it to the one from Amos 3
I would give it 3 out of 10
Haven't they heard about AC3 yet?
