My System: NO SAT CANT GET A SIGNAL | I am realy not happy, i can no longer recieve a sky signal because of trees that have grown in a conservation area behind my house. Sky cant rectify the problem, council wont touch the trees. I have had an engineer out to fit a aerial so i can get freeview but he said there is no way i could get a reception unless i had a 70 meter pole. Is there any other way i can watch sky 1 and sky sports or any digital tv | ||

A slingbox connects to a video source, such as a Sky receiver (which can get reception) and then sends it via an ethernet cable to the internet. With a PC anywhere in the world and the pasword etc for the slingbox you can watch and change channels from the original video source. I tried it once for half hour or so with another member of this forum. I think that there are also dedicated slingbox hosting companies. You may be able to get a signal from other satellites, it would depend on which direction the trees are in exactly. A screengrab from dishpointer would help to establish.
